A wall of tired hits you like a brick,
And suddenly even keeping your eyes open is impossible.
You thought you’d be fine,
And that it really wasn’t that bad.
That as long as you didn’t get comfortable,
You wouldn’t fall asleep.
But suddenly you could be standing on hot coals,
And it would be the most comfortable place in the world.
Fighting to keeps your eyes open,
As if they are being weighed down by the weight of the world.
If you could get your blood flowing,
You would make it through.
Getting up to “go to the bathroom,"
But really to walk around and keep you awake.
It won’t work!
Just one more minuhh…
And you’re out.
